PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

You must be at least 18 years of age and have a personal interest in BDSM to join the Society of Janus (SOJ).

If you live within the nine Bay Area counties (San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and Solano), we require attendance at an Orientation before you join. You must attend the entire Orientation to be considered for membership. Cost of Orientation is $5.00.
If you live outside the nine Bay Area counties, we do not require attendance at an Orientation before joining. An At Large Orientation packet costs $3.00.
If you live outside the USA, please contact us via e-mail or postal mail for Orientation/Membership information before submitting an application.

Please complete one Orientation application per prospective member. Enclose payment in US funds (check, money order or cash). A combined payment for all fees is acceptable.

I understand that:

The Society of Janus (SOJ) is an organization for people who want to explore other than conventional aspects of their sexuality. SOJ promotes a safe place for this exploration. People who attend SOJ functions are entitled to know that their words and feelings are not going to be mentally recorded and played back to them in terms of any unwelcome publicity or notoriety. To this end, SOJ expects and demands that all personal information divulged in the Orientation meeting be held strictly confidential. (If you feel you cannot maintain this level of confidentiality, SOJ asks that you not attend an Orientation and not pursue membership in SOJ.)

I understand that: If I cannot attend any of the three (3) Orientations to which I am invited, I will contact SOJ before my third scheduled Orientation date and request to be rescheduled. SOJ will reschedule me for an additional three (3) Orientations. If I do not request rescheduling before the third Orientation, I will be dropped from the invitation list and will have to reapply for Orientation.

I have read all the above and hereby agree to abide by the rules as stated herein and legally declare that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age.
